I’m going to have my hair looking like this again. It’s almost there. This is from last summer.
A new video blog where I talk about a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
I did something pretty drastic a couple of days ago…
I couldn’t be bothered to write a post today so I figured I’d just make a video of me talking about random things instead and share it with you guys.
Photo Booth on the Mac is wonderful!
Yeah, my niece is one cute little girl. She’s not a baby any more.
I can’t wait to see her again.
We have the same hair style… :S
My passport picture is a bit special. It was taken in Feb 2005 and since then I’ve lost about 45kg/100lbs. I’m trying to re-create the fat face but I can’t get to that point again. I started losing weight as my new year’s resolution in 2006 and have kept it off since then… it’s been nearly 6 years!
Also I got my first ever driver’s licence! Isn’t that SWEET?! Saudi bureaucracy is good for some things!
I love the way my hair looked today. It was soooo shiny! I’m loving how long it is right now but I still wake up most days just wanting to ‘do a Britney’ and shave it all off!
I love this picture because there are 3 of me in it! Narcissism FTW!
Okay, so… a few days ago I was asked if I would pick a dog or a cat if I had a choice and I would always say I would pick a Chow Chow before any other kind of pet.
They are the most incredibly beautiful dogs known to man. They’re so fluffy and cute and they look like big balls of fun. Sure, they’re not supposed to be the smartest dogs in the world and they like their independence a lot but they’re so beautiful to look at.
I was also asked what I would name a dog or a cat if I got one and I would have to say that if I got a Chow Chow I would call it ‘Furrie’.
OMG! Look at that one that has had its hair dyed to look like A PANDA!!! How adorable is that?! It’s the cutest thing in the world ever! Such horrible animal cruelty. Tut tut tut.

For the last three weeks (I think?) in a row my Thursdays have followed the same pattern first thing in the morning. The weekend in Saudi Arabia is Thursday and Friday so today is a sort of Saturday for me.
I wake up just before midday and just laze around in bed doing nothing for a while. I catch up on the internet, catch a friend or two on Skype for a bit, listen to some music, and just chill. I spend ages waking up.
The comes my favourite part of the day. I have a shower but it’s not any shower but an hour long shower where I just let the water wash all over and take away so much more than just things that gather on my skin. It cleanses me. It scolds me!
I brush my teeth in the shower, I shave in the shower (wet shave ftw!), I shampoo my hair, I condition my hair, I use a facial scrub that I have. I really go to town on everything.
It’s so therapeutic. I almost feel like Patrick Bateman in American Psycho when he runs the reader through his morning ritual - “I can do a thousand now”. I’m not at those levels because most mornings I’m rushing for work and I hardly ever spend more than five minutes in the shower.
Thursdays are my day, though. Thursdays is when I really sort it out. It’s a great feeling and a good way to start the day.
After my shower today I put some Nirvana on full volume and jumped around my room for a while. I think it’ll be Nine Inch Nails next Thursday.
My hair is getting so long now. I love it. It was so shiny today.
Instead of being lazy before my shower, I really should go for a run. That would be the PERFECT start to a day but I haven’t run in months… time to change that I think. The weather in Riyadh is getting cooler and it’ll be far more tolerable to run soon.
The beard has gone. The scruffy stubble has gone. I’m back to how I like it best: clean shaved.
I fixed my hair too.
I still have the gorilla eyebrows though. I refuse to shape them! Take that, Anon!
You can see my dimple again!

Seriously, I don’t know what’s wrong with us. I made a resolution to read more news and I’m going to start… tomorrow :S Tumblr is full of so many politically active people and it makes me sad.

George & I say you look really good here! :)
Thank you, Avi and George. I might have looked good but I trimmed my beard off :D
rumrum-muh replied to your photoset: I’ve been growing my ‘beard’ for the last two…

I’m sorry… I decided to trim it. I just didn’t like it as much.

lol your hair blows. but keep the beard its awesome. (just shave it before flying to the US, you know how they are) haha.
:/ Haha! Thanks for the beard love but no thanks for the hair hate. The problem with my hair is that I’m growing it and it’s in that intermediate stage where I can’t do much with it without putting tonnes of crap in my hair!
abdmwenabennis replied to your photoset: I’ve been growing my ‘beard’ for the last two…
KEEP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, yo. It’s gone!

dduuuuuude! eat a sammich. if it rains, you’ll have pools in your neck. also keep the beard.
The beard has gone. About the sammich… I listened to you and had a huge subway today. I’m on a new diet where I eat more… I need to stick with it. I forget to eat too often.

It’s a great beard! Keep it!
Thanks for the beard love but I don’t feel I’m ready for it yet…
manalsmusings replied to your post: You know what I think? I think you’re handsome. Keep the beard, but…
hahaha, gorilla!
Manal! You’re not supposed to laugh at me, yo. It’s not nice. So what if my eyebrows are bushier than the Amazon Rainforest… I’m not a gorilla :(
laaavvvandthensome replied to your post: You have beautiful eyes. :)…
NAHIIIIIN.
The beautiful thing about facial hair, Mehwimoo, is that it grows back!
