Someone told me this is what my future wife is going to look like… Isn’t she sexy?
I think it’s because of my eyebrows.
(from facebook)
Oh my God! This made my day.
It kind of reminds me of someone…
The bit where she says “I make sense. You do not make sense.” kills me!
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Everyone needs to chill out. It has to be Mehwish, right?
The blog is here.
I like calling someone by a name only I call them by. I come up with nicknames for almost everyone. It’s like there’s a special bond between me and that person. I don’t know how to explain it, really.
Some of the nicknames I’ve come up with have been terrible and others genius. Some develop from a joke and others from a personality trait.
What I like a lot is when someone calls me by a nickname. Hardly anyone calls me Waqqar - almost everyone calls me Waq - so it’s as though Waqqar is almost a nickname. I really used to like being called it. I’ve been called so many other things too. I’ve been called WaqAttack, Waqwaq (which sounds like quack quack like anon pointed out earlier), waq-a-mole, waqqy, waqaday… and so on.
Can you think of any other nicknames for me?
Anonymous asked: If you say your name really fast continuously, you sound like a duck! Funny anon will be funny
Oh, Anon… Thanks for making me smile. The truth is that I know saying Waq really quickly makes it sound like quack so much that I often sign emails “Waqwaq” and then add “if you say it quickly it sounds like quackquack”
(I’m sorry to go in to English teacher mode but, Anon, you actually made a sentence structure error… It’s not me who sounds like a duck but it’s my name that sounds like a duck. Saying that, if you ask nicely enough I might make a video of me sounding like a duck!)
My sisters are sooo excitable. The main people in this video are… my brother who opens the door, my eldest sister who is the most excitable of the lot, my sister-in-law who’s excitable but you don’t see that much and my other sister who is also excitable but I don’t think you see her at all.
The thing I love the most, other than the screams and squeals of joy, is how they flip between English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
What a great video.
I’m reblogging this from myself from when I went home in the summer. I was away for nine months and they weren’t expecting me home for another month. I surprised them and the reactions are just amazing.
I can’t wait to get back to all that love.
I love my siblings more than anyone else in the world. They’re the best people.
So… I’ve been talking about my house mate a lot on this blog for the last few months. I’ve used all sorts of adjectives and superlatives to describe how great a guy he is and how much I love him. He’s a 24 years old British-Pakistani, has a law degree, and currently has a great job in Saudi Arabia. He’s very religiously knowledgeable, he’s super-smart, sensible, and on the ball with all sorts of issues. He’s a thinking man and prides himself on his logic and ability to think through a situation but he’s not boring at all. He’s quick to laugh and is fast when it comes to telling jokes. He’s the complete package.
Last week he asked me if I was willing to take some pictures of him because his mum wanted to show some girls for potential rishtas. He’s looking to get married but there’s no one for him to get married to at the moment. This is where you fine Tumblr people come in…
I don’t normally shame students at my work - or in general - but this is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. This is after 15 weeks of intensive English teaching.
This has to be the worst exam script I’ve ever come across. Just look at it! Shocking!
Do you understand anything he’s talking about?
Bonus points if you can find the two words in the whole thing that are spelt correctly…
on top of their thobes and it looks like they’re wearing skirts. It’s kind of funny to see and you have to double-take.
My favourite thing from today so far has been an amazing gift I’ve received. It’s not an expensive gift or a difficult to prepare gift. Now that I think about it, I actually got two gifts.
The first is the gift of time. When a person is in a situation where it’s difficult to really make time, and they do… I really appreciate it. I appreciate it even more when I realise that it’s sometimes risky to make that time. Anyway, time was made and it filled me with joy.
The second gift, and this is the gift I really appreciated it, was the gift of laughter. I laughed harder today than I have in months. I laughed with my whole body and soul, not once or twice but so many times over. Some outstanding moments… my new wallpaper, love for Man Utd, Zac Efron, Jared Leto, Ian Somerhalder, and Xabi Alonso. Zac Efron’s grandson (OMG THIS WAS TOO FUNNY), 50 years in the future, Topless Tuesday (aaawwwww yyyeeeeaaaahhhhhhh), being gay/bisexual/feminine, hand gestures, pouting, and, the best for last, a new icon picture for my tumblr. I was crying with laughter.
I had to get it down to remember.
itslondonfog asked: Hi. Who is your favourite Canadian? Please elaborate~
Haha… You should never, ever, use the word elaborate with me!
My favourite Canadian is my friend Samir. He’s a guy from work who is totally awesome. He’s really funny and smart and you can laugh with him about anything. More than that, though, he is really knowledgeable when it comes to religion but in the best way possible. He’s tactful when giving advice and knows what to say and when. He’s helped me become a better person and a better Muslim and I love him. I’ve only known him for a year but I feel we’re shared a lot. I wouldn’t classify him as my best friend or anything but he’s certainly special to me.
I’m sorry if that’s not the answer you were hoping for, mehwimoo ;)
So… A few days ago I was chatting to a friend of mine and we were talking about how terrible our singing voices are. After a few minutes of trying to persuade the other about how terrible we sang we decided to make videos of us singing along to a song of our choice. Here’s the song I sang along to. I’m warning you… it’s bad and embarrassing and you really shouldn’t want this lest you want you ears to bleed…
I love laughing. I really, really love to laugh. When I see something funny I can’t help but laugh wholeheartedly. It’s been described as an earthquake. I literally laugh with everything I have. There have been some really good opportunities for laughter these last few days but today has been particularly great. It all started with a joke yesterday…
