The best, and worst, thing about spending the day visiting family is…
The food. It’s delicious. So incredibly good. It’s bad because I eat way too much.
Seeing the family isn’t too bad either.

Things I hate about being home…
- Family politics and drama
- The fact that all the best restaurants don’t have halal food
- It’s so cold right now
- My driving licence not being worth the paper it’s printed on
- Having to live under my parents’ roof
- cool people being far away
- Bradford and how dead it is
- CHAVS

Things I love about being at home…
- My nieces and nephews
- Real, honest-to-God, home cooked food
- Variable weather (I’m in that phase where I’m loving the rain) even if it is freezing cold
- Walking places
- The possibility of cool things to do in the evening
- Seeing women walk places when they’re not wearing abayas and hijabs (and then I lower my gaze).
- MTV:Rocks
- Watching the news and real things actually going on

It’s the best desert I’ve ever had! It was apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and a sugary apple sauce on a sizzling plate. When the sauce evaporated the smell it produced was intoxicating.

I went to my new favourite restaurant in Riyadh again earlier. It’s a Turkish restaurant called Anatolia and it’s in Granada Mall. The quality of the food is just spectacular.
This time I took more friends with me and my camera.
The quality of the pictures isn’t amazing because I was being rushed to stop taking pictures and get eating. The company was great but the food was better. The desert, a kunafa, was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. So. Damn. Delicious.
Can I move to Turkey and just get fat?

I had such a fun night!
I met some cool new people. I ate some great food. I had some enlightening conversations. I laughed a whole lot.
The best bit is that I prayed isha before I went out so now I can just crawl in to bed and pass out.
Work tomorrow, though… That sucks!
